Publications Awards

As part of its mission as a "grand département" (French institution acting as a reference at national and international level) for non-European arts and to provide support for anthropological and art history research, the musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac will be awarding 5 prices of €6,000 each to publishable texts or texts published in scientific journals on non-European collections in French museums.

These texts must be written in French or English and be between 50,000 and 60,000 characters in length. They shall be examined by a selection committee based on the criteria applied to scientific journals.

Submissions must be sent before 1 November 2017 to  prixdespublications@quaibranly.fr


The results will be posted on 1 December.

Claude Levi-Strauss Circle study grant

The Lévi-Strauss Circle study grant, awarded for the first time in 2010, now forms part of the program of grants for the collections set up by the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. This is a grant for a short period of time, financed by the Society of Friends of the Museum and amounts to € 6,000.
